I really understand where you're coming from mide, I don't exactly read the Bible myself but you should try it, it seems like you have a little interest there. I hope you find the clarification you seek💙.
i'm not religious. which is something i never say out loud. it's hard to find a religion that hasn't been influenced heavily by people for their own selfish reasons and then passed down for other people to misuse. that is probably my main reason.
there is also the fact that i know nothing for sure - which i guess defeats the entire purpose of having faith and what not. but i can't get behind it because of that.
pray and if you're good god will answer you. but he could also choose not to because it's not in his plan.
what then is the purpose of prayer if everything has already been predetermined?
i think god is real, something had to have made all this, but that's where it ends for me.
another thing that strikes me odd about religions is how each religions' god, or holy text was revealed in only a particular geographical location to a particular people, yet somehow it is supposed to serve the entire world. does that mean everyone who lived and died before or was in another part of the world when god 'revealed himself' is doomed?
to me, religions are simply a means of comfort to people. because without a god and without the notion of 'we are here to serve a purpose,' people won't be able to rest easy. we are so tiny and minuscule compared to everything in the universe so in order not to feel small, we ascribe importance to ourselves in form of religion. god made us in his image. we are the favorite of his creations. god made man lord over all creation. all this so we don't feel purposeless and get overwhelmed by existential dread. (sorry this is so long T_T)
Yes and no
Yes because I believe there’s a God, and I go to church every now and then, pray anytime I feel lost or really need something
Then No because there’s a lot of questions I have but there’s no way of talking to Him directly and I don’t want to hear it from any human
Like why is there sin
Why everything good changes
Why do I feel the urge to pray when I need something, does that serve as a reassurance or something.
No because I have never really read the Bible, it’s only been read to me.
So many reasons but I’m still a believer

There is a way of talking to him directly, you just have to follow the right channel and undertake the process that comes with it.
